A high-profile livestream of the iPhone 17 Series launch was held at Tehila’s Café and Grill by Apple gadget retailer Sage Buyers.
The world’s most anticipated smartphone was unveiled at an exclusive event attended by Uganda’s leading Apple fans, clients, enthusiasts, and industry stakeholders.
Sage Buyers celebrated a major milestone during the livestream, marking six years of operation in Uganda.
The next-generation phone weighs 177 grams and features a glass back, aluminum frame, and glass front.
It also features the new center stage front camera, all 48MP rear cameras, and a potent A19 Pro chip.
With the power of a pro inside, it is the thinnest iPhone ever made and is said to be more durable than any other iPhone.
Apple tested preproduction iPhone 17 Pro units with prerelease software in July and August of 2025, along with preproduction AirPods Pro 3 with MagSafe Charging Case.
The event, according to Dr. Stanley Ssempijja, team lead at Sage Buyers, was a celebration of six years as well as the iPhone 17.

Building on his popularity as a young tech voice and iPhone vendor, Ssempijja declared at the event that he would run as an independent MP candidate for Makindye East.
